Basics of Baby Language

18th January 2009 by Babies No Comments

The great way to understand a child’s mind could be definitely possible through baby’s language. Nowadays babies start understanding things very quickly from 3-4months itself. They gaze for few seconds when some sort of communication is made to them through a sign language. This is one of the ways they observe and respond to certain stuffs later when they start growing.

Babies understand the signs that are conveyed through lips more promptly than those communicated through hands. When they grow up to 8-9 months, they start using this cute language for their own needs. Baby language is more useful when that particular sign is orally expressed with the exact word so that when the child grows it understands the meaning and uses the word in future. For example: when you say MOMMY, if you express it to the baby by pronouncing the word and pointing to yourself(mom), they will grasp the word as well and when the baby starts speaking it knows the meaning and whom to say as “Mommy”!

It is a different feeling when you come to know that your baby understands your sign language and responds to it.

Very basic baby language includes, saying a Bye!, saying Mommy, hitting a thing, fixing eyes on any creature that is crawling nearby and again staring at you in a meaning that they are complaining about the creature to you, giving their own jargons to the pictures and things that see and feel. Grippingly admirable, they are!
