Parent-Child Bonding Sign

18th January 2009 by Babies No Comments

As babies grow they show many beautiful signs of their growth. But the initial act of expressing is their speech. They try to communicate with various activities and signs nut they may not be understood by many parents. The problem is solved when the infants can really speak as they grow but what about dumb babies? They can’t express their thoughts except from crying. Such moments become frustrated for both parents and babies by not able to identify their actual needs. To develop a bond between such parent and babies signing languages were developed. These consist of various easy hand movements and signs indication that are easy to teach and to be learnt by babies.

The American Sign Language and British Sign Language developed various packages that consist of many signs indicating the normal needs of babies. The signs can be made by us but they won’t be standard and may be difficult for others to understand who are not aware of it.

The sound reflexes of babies can also help to identify the needs of babies. Such as:

Neh- implies hunger

Owh- implies feeling sleepy

Heh- experiencing discomfort

Eairh- implies upset stomach

Eh- needs to burp

These sound reflexes are made by babies at 2-3 months and are claimed by Dustan baby language as infantile speech pattern and language acquisition in humans. These sound reflexes are known as universal words used by infants. Several such signs are used by various sign language packages that help the parents to maintain a better link with their infants.
